Private knowledge systems
Retrieval over your own corpus, evaluated against your own questions, with answers that cite their source.
What this service does and how it is delivered. For work already shipped, see the case studies.
The problem
A general model does not know your policies, your contracts or your history, and a model that guesses at them confidently is worse than one that says nothing. The hard part is not the model — it is the retrieval, the permissions and knowing whether an answer was actually right.
What we do
- Inventory the corpus and the permissions that must survive retrieval
- Build the ingestion and chunking pipeline for the document types in play
- Assemble an evaluation set from questions the business actually asks
- Tune retrieval and reranking against that set rather than against impressions
- Route across models by cost and capability, with a fallback path
What you get
Ingestion pipeline
Repeatable extraction and indexing over the document formats the business actually holds.
Permission-aware retrieval
A retrieval layer that respects role boundaries, so an answer cannot leak a document the asker cannot open.
Evaluation harness
A question set and a scoring run, so a change to the pipeline can be judged rather than guessed at.
Model routing
Provider-agnostic gateway with fallback, so a workflow is not welded to one vendor's availability.

Worth knowing
Scoped to retrieval, evaluation and routing over private corpora. Aetheron does not currently run model training or fine-tuning infrastructure, and this service does not claim it.
