The challenge

A CA practice's workload is the same handful of processes repeated across every client, every cycle — collect the data, reconcile it, spot what looks wrong, prepare the filing, chase the client for what is missing. It scales by hiring, because every step needs a person to carry it to the next one. The senior people spend their time on coordination instead of judgement.

The approach

The recurring processes were modelled as agent workflows rather than as software screens a human drives. Agents interact with each client's data directly: they read it, reconcile it, summarise what changed, and surface what needs a partner's attention. The practice keeps approval authority at the points where professional judgement is actually required.

What was built

  • Per-client agents that run the recurring cycle end to end and hand off between steps without a human relay
  • Automated client interaction — the agent requests missing documents and follows up rather than the practice chasing
  • Analysis over the client's own ledger data, returning a reviewed summary instead of a raw report
  • Partner approval gates on the steps that need professional sign-off, with the decision recorded
  • Client management, so onboarding and the recurring calendar are handled by the system

What it does

  • Recurring client work runs without a person carrying it between steps
  • Partners review analysed output instead of assembling it
  • Document chasing happens continuously rather than in end-of-cycle bursts
  • Practice capacity grows without headcount growing in step with it

Described in terms of what the system does. Performance figures are not published.
